The ER-A460 offers advanced features and convenient functions
which will enhance the operation of your retail establishment.
Innovative features such as the standard infrared interface,
optional programming remote keyboard, and easy programming function
expand your capabilities while simplifying procedures.
The ER-A460's unique Infrared Interface
allows the user to program and reprogram the unit quickly and
easily. Three programming input devices include the optional
programming remote keyboard, personal computer, and Sharp Wizard
personal information organizers with I/R capability.
The operator is guided through simple
programming tasks by the ER-A460's prompted programming, The ER-A460
presents cursor-defined options, allowing the user to simply input
the information along the way. This foolproof programming method
eliminates unnecessary service calls and allows the user to program
and modify the terminals simply and efficiently.
Optional memory upgrades allow the
user to expand the ER-A460's standard 15 departments to a total of
50. By expanding the number of available departments, the user can
efficiently categorize products. These departments can then be
classified into up to mine groups. The ER-A460's memory expansion
also allows the end user to increase the 200 standard PLUs to a
total of 2,000. Three pricing levels, 8 to 12 character text
descriptors, and period-to-date PLU tracking offer outstanding
inventory controls.
The ER-A460 boasts high-quality and
high-speed dot-matrix printing at approximately 3 lines per second.
Detailed receipts and reports with information such as sales items
names, the cashier's name, and commercial messages can be printed
out, giving customers a clear record of their purchases. Management
reports including daily net total, group total, PLU by associated
department provide effective inventory and financial analysis tools.
With the optional communications features
of the ER-A460, sales data can be easily and efficiently downloaded
to an external PC connected either directly or via modem. This
feature also allows preset programming to be first done on a PC and
later conveniently transferred to the ECR.
